2. Principles

We only process personal data to the extent necessary to operate this website and to answer your enquiries. This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking services and does not load fonts or scripts from third-party servers.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by easyname GmbH (Vienna, Austria). When you visit a page, the web server processes technically necessary data:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • requested address (URL) and HTTP status code
  • referrer URL (previously visited page), if transmitted
  • browser type, version and operating system (user agent)

This data is used to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability, for example to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are not combined with other data and are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the hosting provider. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

4. Contact form and e-mail

If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process your name, e-mail address, subject and the content of your message. To prevent abuse, your IP address is stored briefly in pseudonymised form (as a hash value) to limit excessive requests; this entry is discarded after one hour at the latest.

The data is used exclusively to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns membership or a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not pass the data on to third parties and delete it once the enquiry has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Propagation data (hamqsl.com)

On the propagation page you can display charts on current propagation conditions from www.hamqsl.com (Paul L. Herrman, N0NBH, USA). These charts are only loaded once you click “Show propagation data”. Your IP address and the usual connection data are then transmitted to this provider in the USA. The USA may not provide a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you choose “Remember on this device”, we store this choice in your browser's local storage (entry tacb-hamqsl-consent; not a cookie and never transmitted to us). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Withdraw consent” link on the propagation page or by clearing this website's data in your browser.

6. Links to other websites

This website contains links to external services, such as the WebRX receiver, Google Maps, our statutes (pCloud) and press articles. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider when you click such a link; that provider's privacy policy then applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, contact office [at] tacb.at.

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at ↗.

8. Data security

All data between your browser and our server is transmitted in encrypted form only (HTTPS/TLS).
